Hancock County is my home. A place where I’ve served my community and supported other candidates for various offices, and where I’ve built a life rooted in faith, community, and commitment to my fellow citizens. 

 As a former Detective with the Indianapolis Police Department, a Deputy Coroner, a Security Police Specialist in the U.S. Air Force, and Chairman of the Board for A Better Life - Brianna’s Hope, I’ve dedicated my life to protecting and uplifting our community.

 Now, I’m running for Sheriff because Hancock County deserves a new kind of leadership—one that blends proven experience, innovative strategies, and a heart for the people we serve.

 I’ve spent years engaging with our community, from volunteering to helping neighbors, earning recognitions like -

•  The Best of Hancock County Volunteer/Community Supporter in 2021 and 2022 
• Bert Curry Healthy Community Award in 2022. 

 My work with A Better Life - Brianna’s Hope has shown me the power of compassion in addressing addiction and recovery, a critical issue facing our county. My podcast, Never Ending Faith, reflects my commitment to spreading hope and fostering dialogue, values I’ll bring to the Sheriff’s Office.

 The current candidates, Gary Achor and John Jester, are experienced law enforcement officers, and I respect their service. Achor, a 28-year veteran of the Hancock County Sheriff’s Department, has climbed the ranks from jail officer to detective, emphasizing his deep roots in the department and his lifelong dream to lead it. Jester, a former Greenfield police chief and Hancock County Coroner, brings a broad perspective, including his current role as Greenfield City Council president, and highlights his experience in budgeting and community engagement. Both are committed to modern policing and addressing staffing challenges in our growing county.

 But I believe Hancock County needs more than traditional experience—it needs a Sheriff who listens, innovates, and unites. My vision is to lead with integrity, transparency, and a community-first approach. I’m not just a law enforcement veteran; I’m a proven leader who understands the complexities of our county’s challenges, from public safety to addiction recovery.

My plan includes:

Community-Oriented Policing: Using modern tools like webcasts, YouTube, and social media to connect with all of Hancock County’s diverse voices, ensuring every resident feels heard.

Innovative Technology: Equipping our deputies with cutting-edge tools to enhance safety and efficiency, keeping pace with our county’s growth.

Compassionate Leadership: Addressing issues like addiction with empathy, building on my work with A Better Life - Brianna’s Hope to support recovery, prevention, and lowering recidivism rates.
